OPTIONAL HOT WEATHER ODU UNIFORM
The Summer ODU Uniform includes ODU Shorts hemmed at the knee or one inch above the knee, the Dark Blue Crew Neck T-Shirt “with U.S. Coast Guard” White lettering on the left chest, and low-top Black Safety Shoes or Brown Boat Shoes with White Crew length Socks. The Hot Weather Uniform is an optional uniform intended for wear by personnel engaged in demanding/prolonged outdoor operations/work. It is not intended for routine wear in the office environment or in public. While it may be worn by boat crews when making brief stops at marinas for fuel and supplies, it is not authorized for wear while commuting to and from work, including in private vehicles. It is not meant to be worn in any other public environment.
All of the above clothing items and safety shoes can be purchased at the Uniform Distribution Center in Woodbine, NJ. at their Main Warehouse. Please call (800) 874-6841 or (609) 861-1221 to place your order.
Since Lighthouse Uniform Co. stocks several (not all) of the Hot Weather ODU Uniform items in mostly medium size only, I would discourage you from buying bits and pieces of the ODU uniform from them.
